Day 98 - Thursday, April 8, 2010

Day 98 - Thursday, April 8, 2010 – Jordyn and I enjoyed an evening of pampering at the Downtown Salon today. It was her first eyebrow waxing and her first pedicure ever!! Uh, yeah, she's hooked.

Day 97 - Wednesday, April 7, 2010

Day 97 - Wednesday, April 7, 2010 – A nasty stomach bug hit our house in the middle of the night. It’s first victim was Owen who battled it all night (although he slept through the whole ordeal). Then it hit Liam in the morning. He carried this bucket around all day and we found him sleeping in random locations.

Day 96 - Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Day 96 - Tuesday, April 6, 2010 - Liam and Jacob devoured their shared plate of strawberries and whipped cream before I could snap a pic! Their mouths are stuffed with yummy goodness. Jake came out to spend the night at our house with Bella and my sister. Shawn has stayed with me the last two nights since Kevin is traveling for work. Just in case I go into labor in the middle of the night!!

Day 95 - Monday, April 5, 2010

Day 95 - Monday, April 5, 2010 - Shawn and my mom came over tonight to bring me dinner and to "pamper" me. I put them to work being creative and painting canvases for the nursery. The artwork turned out beautifully and the process was fun. Here is Owen telling Grandma to put some fish in her water.

Day 94 - Sunday, April 4, 2010

Day 94 - Sunday, April 4, 2010 - We had a wonderful Easter! The kids found their baskets that the Easter Bunny had hidden. Then we made breakfast together...Jordyn set the table, Liam made the sausage, Owen was on toast duty, Kevin made the eggs, and I was in charge of the bacon. Then we all got cleaned up, took a family photo and hunted for Easter eggs in the front yard before heading to my parents' house for a wonderful meal and gorgeous day spent with the family.

Day 93 - Saturday, April 3, 2010

Day 93 - Saturday, April 3, 2010 - Since Ashton is due any day now, we didn't go to Grand Rapids for Easter weekend like we usually do. So, the Saturday egg-coloring ritual was done at home instead of at Gramma Carol's. The whole family got in on the action. One of the favorite tools is the invisible crayon.

Day 92 - Friday, April 2, 2010

Day 92 - Friday, April 2, 2010 - Today was the kids' first day of Spring Break and so we asked Liam if he wanted to come to my doctor's appointment with us to hear Ashton's heart beat. He was excited to go but was very tentative and shy when we got there. I'm anxious to see how he will behave once Ashton arrives.

Day 91 - Thursday, April 1, 2010

Day 91 - Thursday, April 1, 2010 - Not sure if Mother Nature was pulling an April Fool's joke on us, or what, but the weather has been absolutely gorgeous. After Owen ran around the living room in tiny circles for a half hour, I finally told him to go outside and do it. He was able to run in much bigger circles (with his Star Wars Lego ships), in shorts and bare feet!! Ready for Spring!!

Day 90 - Wednesday, March 31, 2010

Day 90 - Wednesday, March 31, 2010 - Packing a care package to send to my cousin Jesse in Afghanistan. He requested "good coffee", which we provided a variety of Starbuck's blends, but we filled it with other snacks and treats, too.

Day 89 - Tuesday, March 30, 2010

Day 89 - Tuesday, March 30, 2010 - Tonight was Liam's 3rd grade spring concert, Education Rocks!, in which the kids were instructed to dress like rock stars. Liam gave himself this faux hawk hair style. It was actually a really cute concert. My favorite song was Information in which the kids all sang in robotic-y voice and did "the robot" dance moves. It was really fun.

Day 88 - Monday, March 29, 2010

Day 88 - Monday, March 29, 2010 - Bedknobs and Broomsticks...and a great room that needs some serious straightening.

Day 87 - Sunday, March 28, 2010

Day 87 - Sunday, March 28, 2010 - Today was my "unshower" at the Woodshop in Clarkston. In addition to yummy food, I was blessed with the company, support, and enthusiasm of wonderful friends: Amy (who bought this cute shirt for Ashton), Traci, Katie, Kendrea, Mindy, Patty, Kerry, Kim, Errica, and Jordyn, the big sis.

Day 86 - Saturday, March 27, 2010

Day 86 - Saturday, March 27, 2010 - This year's theme for the DA/OES Spring Fair & Silent Auction was Surf's Up. Liam and Owen enjoyed spending time with the Petoskey boys, and they all looked dashing in their Hawaiian luau shirts.

Day 85 - Friday, March 26, 2010

Day 85 - Friday, March 26, 2010 - Volunteering to coordinate the class baskets for the silent auction at the DA/OES Spring Fair is the one major PTO event that I help with each year. It's "my thing". This always requires a late night the day before the fair making sure all of the baskets have been assembled, brought to the school, and have printed itemized lists and bid sheets. Someone was kind enough to snag a bake sale "reject" cupcake to keep me going (note the Diet Dr. Pepper I was washing it down with!!) Fortunately, I did not go into labor the night before the fair. That would have been catastrophic!

Day 84 - Thursday, March 25, 2010

Day 84 - Thursday, March 25, 2010 - Tonight we went to Chuck E. Cheese's in Flint to celebrate my brother's daughter, Lilly's 4th birthday. The kids loved it. Owen was very slow to spend his tokens. He selected his games and rides very carefully. Here he is riding a Cedar Point roller coaster simulator.

Day 83 - Wednesday, March 24, 2010

Day 83 - Wednesday, March 24, 2010 - Morning ritual...the boys eat cereal for breakfast at the island counter in the kitchen. Froot Loops, Honey Nut Cheerios, Fruity Pebbles, and Frosted Flakes are some of their current favorites.

Day 82 - Tuesday, March 23, 2010

Day 82 - Tuesday, March 23, 2010 - Tonight was Liam's wrestling banquet. He had a great first season and his coach, Coach Al, really praised Liam for doing so well. His coach is in the "100 Win Club" at Oxford, from when he was a wrestler at OHS 10 years ago. He told Liam not to worry about not making it to States this year, because when he was in wrestling club as a kid, he never went to states, but still had a great high school career and went on to wrestle at college. I'm sad to see the season end and can't wait for next year!

Day 81 - Monday, March 22, 2010

Day 81 - Monday, March 22, 2010 - I read a lot of blogs, especially scrapbook-y, artsy type blogs for scrapbook inspiration. I probably spend way more time reading scrapbook blogs and magazines than I do actually scrapbooking. Often times, the scrapbook celebrities will have free give aways that you can enter. All you have to do is leave a comment on their blog. Stacy Julian had an awesome Nikki Sivilis give away that I entered last week and I won!! My loot arrived today and it was like Christmas!!

Day 80 - Sunday, March 21, 2010

Day 80 - Sunday, March 21, 2010 - Kevin took the boys shoe shopping today. I absolutely love the pair that they found for Owen. Nice kicks, buddy.
