Day 115 - Sunday, April 25, 2010

Day 115 - Sunday, April 25, 2010 – For Owen's birthday today, Kevin spent a lot of time with him putting together the plethora of Lego sets he received as gifts at his party yesterday. The beer on the coffee table belongs to Kevin not Owen. Owen turned 6, not 21.

Day 114 - Saturday, April 24, 2010

Day 114 - Saturday, April 24, 2010 – Today was Owen's 6th birthday party. He has graduated from an infatuation with Thomas the Train to an obsession with all things Star Wars (especially Legos). We had cupcakes with Darth Vader and Storm Trooper rings, edible light sabers (chocolate dipped pretzel rods), Yoda soda (Sprite with lime sherbet), a Darth Vader pinata, pin the light saber on the Jedi, and Ashton in a Yoda costume.

Day 113 - Friday, April 23, 2010

Day 113 - Friday, April 23, 2010 – Ashton accompanied Kevin and I to the Ox for lunch today, and he slept the whole time. Good baby.

Day 112 - Thursday, April 22, 2010

Day 112 - Thursday, April 22, 2010 – The boys are anxious to go in the hot tub with Kev. Liam doesn't look excited in this picture because he is giving me his serious "model look".

Day 111 - Wednesday, April 21, 2010

Day 111 - Wednesday, April 21, 2010 – My sister has not only helped me tremendously with Ashton since day one, but she has been a Godsend in helping me prepare for Owen's birthday party coming up this weekend. Here we are making oodles and oodles of edible light sabers (chocolate dipped pretzel rods...red for Darth Vader and green for Yoda). I could not pull off this party with out her.

Day 110 - Tuesday, April 20, 2010

Day 110 - Tuesday, April 20, 2010 – My friend Sara came over to photograph Ashton today. We turned his nursery into a makeshift studio (the natural light was perfect) and she snapped away. I will say this, newborn photography is NOT easy, but the results are WELL worth the effort!

Day 109 - Monday, April 19, 2010

Day 109 - Monday, April 19, 2010 – Liam is uber excited about the pedometers that were handed out at school today. His goal is to walk 10,000 steps every day. He ran around the lake to kick things off.

Day 108 - Sunday, April 18, 2010

Day 108 - Sunday, April 18, 2010 – Kevin (not a big fan of reading books to himself nor to his children), gives Owen some attention by reading a Berenstain Bears book to him. Definitely a Kodak (or Sony Cybershot) moment.

Day 107 - Saturday, April 17, 2010

Day 107 - Saturday, April 17, 2010 – Grandma Carol visits from Grand Rapids to meet Ashton.

Day 106 - Friday, April 16, 2010

Day 106 - Friday, April 16, 2010 – The boys are very anxious to try out the new hot tub! Me? I have to wait until I'm 6 weeks postpartum!!

Day 105 - Thursday, April 15, 2010

Day 105 - Thursday, April 15, 2010 – Liam's goal is to hold Ashton at least once every single day. He also wants Ashton's first word to be "sports", which is why he will sit there and say to him over and over, "sports. sports. sports. sports. sports."

Day 104 - Wednesday, April 14, 2010

Day 104 - Wednesday, April 14, 2010 – Hello, baby. I'm your momma.

Day 103 - Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Day 103 - Tuesday, April 13, 2010 – Today was Owen's first t-ball practice. He was very excited and all dressed up in Liam's old Diamondbacks hat, baseball pants, and Cubs blue baseball socks. If it looks like I snapped this picture in mid-stride, it's because Owen stood there, balancing on one foot, saying, "Mom, take a picture and see if it looks like I'm walking." Where does this kid come up with this stuff?

Day 102 - Monday, April 12, 2010

Day 102 - Monday, April 12, 2010 – Ashton Sean Hillary arrived exactly on his due date by three hours and seven minutes. It only took 3.5 hours from first contraction to delivery and he couldn't be more perfect. Weighing in at 8 pounds, 5 ounces and 21 inches in length. He's healthy, he's beautiful. I am so deeply in love with this new little baby.

Day 101 - Sunday, April 11, 2010

Day 101 - Sunday, April 11, 2010 – The boys and I went to Home Depot today to get some shelves cut for the baby's closet. Liam and Owen loved watching the Home Depot guy use the big saw. Kevin is obviously less enthused.

Day 100 - Saturday, April 10, 2010

Day 100 - Saturday, April 10, 2010 – Ahhhh, Spring. I love daffodils.

Day 99 - Friday, April 9, 2010 –

Day 99 - Friday, April 9, 2010 – We celebrated the Tigers' home opener at the Petoskey's house. These boys love getting together! However, I don't think they watched much of the game.
