Day 31 - Sunday, January 31, 2010

Day 31 - Sunday, January 31, 2010 - Yes, I spent 4 1/2 hours of my Sunday "helping" Liam complete his 3rd grade homework assignment. While I was cursing every minute of it (well, every minute past that first hour), I loved the final result and am hoping it makes its way home from school in good condition.

Day 30 - Saturday, January 30, 2010

Day 30 - Saturday, January 30, 2010 - Kevin and I enjoyed a fancy night out in Detroit. We met the Petoskeys, along with the Basingers, Webers, and Davises at Mosaic as a surprise 39th birthday celebration for Amy. This was my delicious Warm Pistachio Goat Cheese Salad. Mmm Mmm Good.

Day 29 - Friday, January 29, 2010

Day 29 - Friday, January 29, 2010 - Tonight I was invited to a work function at a co-worker's home in Clarkston. This was one side of her wine cellar tasting room. I could have sat in that room ALL night....the ambiance, the aroma, the chill of the temperature and humidity controlled environment. I told her to invite me back in the summer when I can properly enjoy it. Heaven.

Day 28 - Thursday, January 28, 2010

Day 28 - Thursday, January 28, 2010 - TGfDSi. (Thank God for DSi's)

Day 27 - Wednesday, January 27, 2010

Day 27 - Wednesday, January 27, 2010 - This little kitten is always finding and retrieving his younger brother's lost little mittens from the bus. Thank you, Liam.

Day 26 - Tuesday, January 26, 2010

Day 26 - Tuesday, January 26, 2010 - How has my daughter reached the age of 14 without ever having seen OKLAHOMA! ?? My niece Bailey was recently cast as Ado Annie (my favorite character) in her homeschool theater group's Spring production (even though she was hoping to be cast as boring old Laurey). So Jordyn borrowed the DVD from her friend Megan for us to watch. She was amused that I knew the lyrics to all the songs (and of course, I couldn't help singing along) and shocked when I told her how many times I've seen the movie. Easily 30. Easily. "I Caint Say No!"

Day 25 - Monday, January 25, 2010

Day 25 - Monday, January 25, 2010 - Owen at home talking to Kevin in Indiana, telling him "two things" he learned and school today. Lunch and Recess.

Day 24 - Sunday, January 24, 2010

Day 24 - Sunday, January 24, 2010 - Liam took first place in his second wrestling tournament today. He pinned his first two opponents and then he defeated his third opponent by points in a major decision. So proud of my scrappy little grappler.

Day 23 - Saturday, January 23, 2010

Day 23 - Saturday, January 23, 2010 - Bailey put Jordyn's hair into this awesome twisty bun. It looked so cute!

Day 22 - Friday, January 22, 2010

Day 22 - Friday, January 22, 2010 - An impromptu dinner gathering at BW3's with the Parsons turned into a late night at their house afterwards. Jordyn and Sam played Wii. Actually, they both had controllers, but only Jordyn was playing. Sam just thought he was playing.

Day 21 - Thursday, January 21, 2010

Day 21 - Thursday, January 21, 2010 - Thus is a classic 14 year old Jordyn look. She uses this look when she disagrees with me, but doesn't want to say anything because she's afraid she'll get in trouble. I know she won't always hold her tongue and soon those thoughts will spill out in defiance. Hopefully not too soon, though.

Day 20 - Wednesday, January 20, 2010

Day 20 - Wednesday, January 20, 2010 - The B.O.B. (Big Ole Belly).

Day 19 - Tuesday, January 19, 2010

Day 19 - Tuesday, January 19, 2010 - Gotta love stocking up the snacks in the pantry after a quick trip to Costco.

Tuesday, January 19, 2010

Day 18 - Monday, January 18, 2010

Day 18 - Monday, January 18, 2010 - On the day after Christmas, Jordyn went shopping and came home with an Abercrombie shirt for Liam because she wanted him to look cool. Liam is now hooked on Abercrombie and shopping. On today's trip to the Rochester Village Mall, Jordyn went crazy in Hollister (Liam doesn't fit into their clothes just yet) while Liam spent his own money to buy himself some cologne, YES, COLOGNE from Abercrombie. I broke down and got him a shirt and jacket. I can't help it, I want him to look cool, too! Especially when things are on sale!

Day 17 - Sunday, January 17, 2010

Day 17 - Sunday, January 17, 2010 - Owen and his Light Brite. Hours of entertainment.

Day 16 - Saturday, January 16, 2010

Day 16 - Saturday, January 16, 2010 - Liam wrestled in his first tournament ever today (in Birch Run) and took second place! It was extremely exciting and we are so very proud of him!! I can not wait for the next one.

Day 15 - Friday, January 15, 2010

Day 15 - Friday, January 15, 2010 - Kevin, and the usual...a tall Labatt Blue Light, a Knapp's Wildcat Pizza, and a 'dear god woman do you really have to take a picture of me eating' look on his face.

Day 14 - Thursday, January 14, 2010

Day 14 - Thursday, January 14, 2010 - We told Liam that if we win the HGTV Dream Home, located on three acres in Sandia Park, NM, that we would get a dog. His desire for a pet has been renewed to a level even deeper than what he had when he asked Santa for a dog. He checked this book out of his classroom and reads up on the different breeds all night long. Everyone's got to dream, right?

Day 13 - Wednesday, January 13, 2010

Day 13 - Wednesday, January 13, 2010 - Seriously, despite the fact that I stuff my face full of these holiday Hershey's kisses (preferably caramel) all day long, the end of the candy dish can not be found. And if these things are in the house, I am going to eat them. Go away chocolate, go away!!

Day 12 - Tuesday, January 12, 2010

Day 12 - Tuesday, January 12, 2010 - Walking (in a winter wonderland) home from the bus stop.
