Day 90 - Wednesday, March 31, 2010 - Packing a care package to send to my cousin Jesse in Afghanistan. He requested "good coffee", which we provided a variety of Starbuck's blends, but we filled it with other snacks and treats, too.
Day 89 - Tuesday, March 30, 2010 - Tonight was Liam's 3rd grade spring concert, Education Rocks!, in which the kids were instructed to dress like rock stars. Liam gave himself this faux hawk hair style. It was actually a really cute concert. My favorite song was Information in which the kids all sang in robotic-y voice and did "the robot" dance moves. It was really fun.
Day 87 - Sunday, March 28, 2010 - Today was my "unshower" at the Woodshop in Clarkston. In addition to yummy food, I was blessed with the company, support, and enthusiasm of wonderful friends: Amy (who bought this cute shirt for Ashton), Traci, Katie, Kendrea, Mindy, Patty, Kerry, Kim, Errica, and Jordyn, the big sis.
Day 86 - Saturday, March 27, 2010 - This year's theme for the DA/OES Spring Fair & Silent Auction was Surf's Up. Liam and Owen enjoyed spending time with the Petoskey boys, and they all looked dashing in their Hawaiian luau shirts.
Day 85 - Friday, March 26, 2010 - Volunteering to coordinate the class baskets for the silent auction at the DA/OES Spring Fair is the one major PTO event that I help with each year. It's "my thing". This always requires a late night the day before the fair making sure all of the baskets have been assembled, brought to the school, and have printed itemized lists and bid sheets. Someone was kind enough to snag a bake sale "reject" cupcake to keep me going (note the Diet Dr. Pepper I was washing it down with!!) Fortunately, I did not go into labor the night before the fair. That would have been catastrophic!
Day 84 - Thursday, March 25, 2010 - Tonight we went to Chuck E. Cheese's in Flint to celebrate my brother's daughter, Lilly's 4th birthday. The kids loved it. Owen was very slow to spend his tokens. He selected his games and rides very carefully. Here he is riding a Cedar Point roller coaster simulator.
Day 83 - Wednesday, March 24, 2010 - Morning ritual...the boys eat cereal for breakfast at the island counter in the kitchen. Froot Loops, Honey Nut Cheerios, Fruity Pebbles, and Frosted Flakes are some of their current favorites.
Day 82 - Tuesday, March 23, 2010 - Tonight was Liam's wrestling banquet. He had a great first season and his coach, Coach Al, really praised Liam for doing so well. His coach is in the "100 Win Club" at Oxford, from when he was a wrestler at OHS 10 years ago. He told Liam not to worry about not making it to States this year, because when he was in wrestling club as a kid, he never went to states, but still had a great high school career and went on to wrestle at college. I'm sad to see the season end and can't wait for next year!
Day 81 - Monday, March 22, 2010 - I read a lot of blogs, especially scrapbook-y, artsy type blogs for scrapbook inspiration. I probably spend way more time reading scrapbook blogs and magazines than I do actually scrapbooking. Often times, the scrapbook celebrities will have free give aways that you can enter. All you have to do is leave a comment on their blog. Stacy Julian had an awesome Nikki Sivilis give away that I entered last week and I won!! My loot arrived today and it was like Christmas!!
Day 79 - Saturday, March 20, 2010 - Liam didn't qualify for the state tournament, so he wrestled in the non-qualifier today and took second place. This was his last tournament of the year, and he has improved so much since his first tournament in January. I'm sad to see the season end, and am already looking forward to next year.
Day 78 - Friday, March 19, 2010 - They're baaaaack!! Mom and Dad are back from Florida and we couldn't be happier. Jordyn squealed with delight when she saw gramma pull in the driveway.
Day 77 - Thursday, March 18, 2010 - It's one thing that Owen can't match his pajamas. It's another thing altogether that the mismatched jammies are now way too small for him. Good thing the seasons are changing and I can weed out the stuff he's outgrown since the fall.
Day 75 - Tuesday, March 16, 2010 - Like, totally awesome! Jordyn, and her friends Alicia and Shelby, got all dolled up for the eighties dance at school tonight. Of course, they all had to turn to their moms for fashion advice. Now, that's a change of pace! The side pony tail was the go-to hairstyle of the night.
Day 73 - Sunday, March 14, 2010 - Liam wrestled in the MMWA Regional tournament in Clio today. He won his first two matches and then lost his second two (to the boys who went on to take first and second place). I had to cut his bangs AT the tournament because they were touching his eyebrows, which apparently could give his opponent a point. And being as competitive as I am, I wasn't going to let that happen. It wasn't the best haircut, and Kev said he looked like Lloyd Christmas, but a psycho wrestling mom's gotta do, what a psycho wrestling mom's gotta do!
Day 72 - Saturday, March 13, 2010 - Tonight was Brian and Tara's annual St. Patrick's day party. It was a lot more low key than in years past since both Tara and I are expecting. Also, Kev had to tone it down because we had to get Liam to bed early because of his tournament on Sunday. Even so, I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long time.
Day 71 - Friday, March 12, 2010 - Preparing for baby, we bought the stroller/car seat system today. Kev assembled it while watching March madness. I think there were only a couple of spare parts left over.
